Greetings:
Our 137th Annual Grand Communications will commence promptly at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 11th, 2024, and will adjourn on Friday, July 12th, 2024. All Masters and Wardens are expected to be in attendance and request your assistance in encouraging your members, to attend as well. Please ensure you arrive dressed in the required Masonic attire: black suit, white shirt, black tie, bow tie, black socks, black shoes, white gloves, and appropriate aprons and collars. Attendees will need to bring their Masonic Ritual, Standard Monitor, and Constitution and Code of the MWPHGL F. & A. M. of Iowa as well.
PRE-REGISTRATION & HOTEL INFORMATION
Registration opens on May 1st, 2024, and closes on July 7th, 2024. I ask that you abide by this deadline for registration to ensure proper meal counts. Registration paid after July 7th,, 2024, will cost $150.00. Onsite registration will not be available. Should you need to cancel your registration, please contact Right Worshipful Grand Secretary Kenneth F. Reed. Cancellations made after July 7th will incur a deduction for meal costs.
The host hotel is the DoubleTree by Hilton, located at 111 E Second St., Davenport, IA 52801. Reserve your room by calling (563) 322-2200 and mention the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Iowa Block. The standard room rate is $129.00 plus 12% tax. Room reservations must be made by Monday, June 10th, 2024. The hotel's cancellation policy stipulates those cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled check-in time at 3 p.m. will incur a charge equivalent to one night's stay. Hotel check-in time is 3 p.m., and check-out time is 11 a.m. All requests for early check-in or late check-out must be made by calling the hotel directly.
MODIFIED SCHEDULE
Business of this Grand Communication will be conducted according to a modified schedule. Grand Lodge Session will open at 9 a.m. on July 11th All business, including elections, will be concluded on Friday, July 12th. July 13th will be a "Day of Service" for us to volunteer as a Jurisdiction at an area non-profit organization. Further details to come.

To commemorate the "Day of Service" on July 13th the Grand Lodge is offering Grand Session T-Shirts, available for purchase at https://mwphglia.printify.me. The T-shirts are named "137th MWPHGLIA" and are available for each subordinate lodge; no other customizations can be made. Please make sure you are ordering the t-shirt for your subordinate lodge. 100% of the net proceeds from t-shirt sales will be recycled back into the Grand Lodge to support our charitable endeavors. Additional items are also available for purchase on the provided link, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Grand Lodge.
