Born in Elaine, Arkansas, to Andrew L. Richardson Sr. and Crystal Rose Otis, The Honorable Andrew L. Richardson Jr. spent his childhood in Marianna, Arkansas. A Lee High School alum, Richardson embarked on an educational journey starting with an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Shorter Junior College, North Little Rock, Arkansas. His quest for knowledge led him to the University of Conway, Arkansas, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management, setting the stage for a lifetime of leadership and service.

Grand Master Richardson's Masonic journey, a testament to his commitment to community and personal growth, began at Lebanon Forest Lodge #46 in Rondo, Arkansas. After relocating to Davenport, Iowa, he  demitted to continue his Masonic service at Hiram Lodge #19 and served as Worshipful Master for two years. His dedication culminated in his current role as the Most Worshipful Grand Master of Iowa, after diligent service and contributions as Grand Junior Warden and Deputy Grand Master.

In addition to his Masonic achievements, Richardson has been an active member of the Scottish Rite, AG Clark Consistory #68, serving as 1st Lieutenant for four years. His professional career spans 17 years in retail management and seven years with the United States Postal Service in Davenport, Iowa.

Richardson's passions extend to bowling, golf, and an avid enthusiasm for basketball, football, and golf. His greatest joy, however, lies in mentoring within the Prince Hall Masonic Order, upholding its values and teachings.

Family life is a cornerstone of Richardson's journey. With his wife, Catrina, by his side for 28 years—24 of those in marriage—they celebrate their life with son Deiondre and grandson Dravarius. Richardson's extended family includes three sisters, a brother, and two half-brothers, underscoring a rich family heritage.

In reflection, Richardson attributes his successes and life's blessings to the divine guidance of the Great Architect of the Universe—God. His story is one of dedication, service, and the continual pursuit of excellence, inspiring all who know him.
