African American Museum of Iowa’s 2023 Black History Makers: Kenneth and Deborah Reed!

Meet your History Makers: Kenneth and Deborah Reed!
Kenny and Deborah met in 1967 when Deborah moved to Cedar Rapids from Memphis, Tennessee. Both Kenny and Deborah attended Washington High School. After graduating, Kenny got a job at Goss Graphic Systems and worked there for thirty-three and half years. After Goss closed, Kenny attended Hamilton College and received an Associate of Arts Degree in Information Systems. Deborah worked for Collins Radio (later Rockwell Collins) for 38 years in purchasing and finance. Kenny and Deborah decided after retirement that they would become active and give back to the community, serving in many ways.
