Start Your Journey

Prince Hall Freemasonry is...

a historic institution rooted in the rich tapestry of African American heritage. Established in the late 18th century by Prince Hall, a prominent abolitionist and community leader, this branch of Freemasonry has provided a welcoming space for Black men seeking fellowship, personal growth, and philanthropy. With a legacy steeped in principles of brotherhood, charity, and enlightenment, Prince Hall Freemasonry continues to serve all men, regardless of ethnicity, as a beacon of empowerment and unity within diverse communities across the United States, fostering a tradition of excellence and service that resonates through generations.

If you are interested in learning more about joining, ask yourself the following three questions:

Are you 18 years old, or older?

You must be 18 years old, or older, to join.

Do you believe in a being greater than yourself?

Freemasonry is a brotherhood of men who study and live according to the belief systems they subscribe to. In America, this is most often Christianity and Islam, but it is not limited to such.

Do you believe men should be of good moral fiber?

Freemasonry is a system of morality, veiled in allegory, illustrated by symbols. Within this system of morality freemasons are expected to live up to the character and integrity spelled out in its various lessons.

If you can answer "Yes" to those three questions, then Freemasonry may be a fit for you!
